Mechanical Drafter

We are seeking an experienced CAD Designer / Drafter skilled in SolidWorks 2D and 3D to join our engineering team. The position requires working with quality managers and estimators to prepare high quality documentation for manufacturing based on customer designs. Essential Functions also include being an engineering liaison between design, estimating and production. This is an in-person position.

• The position requires working with designers and estimators to prepare high quality documentation for manufacturing based on customer designs
• Create drawings, cut lists, BOM, DXF and other documentation from customer drawings to support Production
• Create submittal drawings for approval. Review comments and suggestions to support Estimating
• Maintain Engineering files and folders
• Laison between Design, Engineering and Production

• Working Knowledge of SolidWorks and ability to work independently using it.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes such as welding, grinding, laser, brake press, sawing, etc.
• Show a positive and eager to learn attitude with strong work ethic.
• 1-3 years minimum experience in a metal fabrication environment producing flat layouts and associated documentation including drawings and saw cut lists using SolidWorks
• 1 or 2 year trade school / technical college diploma / degree desired. Or 5 years hands on experience
• Experience with tool making and progressive stamping desired.
• Experience communicating with vendors on technical matters, desired

Non-exempt Hourly wage position $27-$32 BOE

Standard hours Monday – Thursday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm Friday 7:00 am – 1:00 am Hours are somewhat flexible.
